March 4, 2010 - ( Pembroke, NH) – Green Mountain Communications, a premier technology and wireless solutions provider, is pleased to announce they have been awarded a $3.8 million contract with the New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT) to deploy an advanced traffic management system (ATMS) on the Southern New Hampshire corridor along Interstates 93 and 293, as well as New Hampshire Route 101. This system, which will include both mobile and fixed electronic message boards, is designed to provide real-time information to the traveling public.

Green Mountain Communications will install new Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) field devices and a new wireless communications network connecting the field devices to the existing NHDOT in Concord. The advanced traffic management system will be utilized to improve NHDOT operations in the areas of construction management, work zone safety, congestion mitigation, and incident response.
