March 17, 2011 - (Pembroke, NH) – Green Mountain Communications, a premier technology and wireless solutions provider, has been awarded a $1.4 million contract from TransCore to design and build 15 new wireless communication hubs for the new Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) along the I-95 corridor. Wireless communication in the ATMS will be vital for improving work zone safety, congestion mitigation, operations, and incident response for New Hampshire Department of Transportation (NHDOT).

As part of NHDOT’s Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) initiative for the I-95 corridor, Green Mountain Communications will design and build a high-speed wireless microwave network that connects 35 wireless devices, cameras, and Dynamic Message Signs back to the NHDOT’s Transportation Management Center to increase the NHDOT’s efficiency in managing the I-95 corridor. The design will connect devices along portions of Route 101, Route 4 and the Spaulding Turnpike.
