This position involves climbing, physical labor, and the use of hand and power tools. Interacts with crew members on a daily basis. Performs a variety of tasks. Extensive travel is required. Other duties may be assigned as needed. This position reports directly to the Foreman.
Education/Experience: - This position requires 1-2 years experience in a construction field and previous experience using hand and power tools.
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Previous experience climbing or working at great heights helpful but not required
- Certification in Comm Training, OSHA 10/HR, DOT medical card, and computer skills a plus
- Motivated team player
- Effective communication skills
Essential Duties: - Assist in the installation of wireless communication systems in New England. Uses hand and power tools on a daily basis to complete assigned jobs.
- This position requires the employee to climb and work at great heights.
- Works with and takes direction from foreman on a daily basis.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with crew members, PM’s, and all other employees in a professional and courteous manner.
- Responsible for following the safety practices and guidelines set forth by the company’s safety policy; Reports all accidents and compliance failure to foreman and completes proper safety paperwork when required.
- Interacts with customers and subcontractors in a professional manner consistent with the quality of the rest of the company.
- Submits expense reports and timesheets in a timely manner for processing.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. - This position spends 30% of time sitting, 50% of time standing, and 20% of time walking.
- This position spends 25% of the time using hands/fingers for firm grasping and using hands/fingers for repetitive motion.
- This position spends 30% of the time climbing, 20% of the time bending, reaching above shoulder level, and using hands/fingers for pushing and pulling.
- This position is regularly required to lift/move up to 25 lbs, frequently required to lift/move 65 lbs and occasionally required to lift/move >100 lbs.
